Thank you for the kindness,
Thank you for the company,
Thank you for the support,
Thank you for the memories.

Thank you for being good to me,
Thank you for holding me.
Thank you for being pink and pretty
And for being blue and grey.

Thank you for the simple life,
Thank you for so much love.
Thank you for the joy,
The happiness and laughter,
And whispers and chitchats,
For the peace and calm
Among some the grief and sadness,
Among the difficult conversations.

Thank you for the chances
To loved myself more.
For space and time to grow,
For the opportunities to learn and love.

It is very bittersweet
And I fear leaving you behind.
To walk into a new one,
One I am yet to find.
One with uncharted territories
And unexplored opportunities.
One you say could be good,
But even the good can be scary.
Thank you, for I know now
That I am strong and will always be,
To embrace my fears
And walk through life.
