Impermanence

“Best way to avoid complications, avoid temporary people!!” the chat bubble read. I looked at it and thought to myself, “Really? Is that possible?”

However I went about it, I couldn’t come up with a scenario where avoiding people that could be temporary was possible. How would you know who was going to stay and who was going to leave? If we think deeper about leaving, isn’t everyone leaving us at some point? Death should be a serious consideration you know. Our parents will leave one day, so will our brothers and sisters, our spouses and children, our friends, our pets and someday we will leave too. We are like a station where the trains of life take a break for however long they prefer. We are like a room with doors at opposite ends. The breeze comes in one way and goes the other way. Sometimes it brings smaller things it can carry and drops in the room. Those stay until the wind picks them up. The wind might bring and drop something else only to be picked up by stronger wind. Sometimes something might reach the room by itself and decide to stay and no breeze and wind can take it away with them. That is until a storm comes up and sweeps it away. If something bigger and heavier is dropped by the storm, then definitely a tornado might come along and tear away the house and take away everything with it. Isn’t everything temporary in the hands of Mother Nature? Just a moment in her big game? She drops and picks everything as she wishes. We, mere beings of her creation, shall just let her play and enjoy the course of our life, our journey and time.
